- Espresso Blends
- Single origin coffees
Do you develop espresso blends?Yes, we certainly do! We believe that espresso coffee is something special and to get a great coffee out of the espresso coffee machines it would be best to blend different beans together.
Why do you blend coffees?By blending coffee beans from different origins we can create a flavour that can not be found in a single bean. You get something unique and special and we really like that. Do you have a wide range of blends? No, we only have a small number of blends. We keep the amount of blends that we offer fairly small so that we can monitor the quality better. A blend might change with different seasons so we have to keep a close eye on the consistency. This means that we have to drink it a lot, something we don't mind doing at all!

How do you recommend we brew the espresso? We recommend that you use 7 to 8 grams of coffee per espresso, brew for about 25 seconds and extract about 20 to 25 ml of coffee. Please do not extract more than 25 ml as it will result in a 'not so good' espresso. If you need more help with this please get in touch and we are more than happy to explain exactly how we think the blend tastes at its best. And of course, grind fresh for each coffee. |
Where do you get coffees from?Coffee grows in countries around the equator, between the tropic of Cancer and Capricorn. Some of the popular coffee growing countries are Brazil, Colombia, Ethiopia, Kenya and Indonesia. We sell coffee from many countries and we have a constant stock of coffees from Brazil, Colombia, Ethiopia, Kenya, India, Indonesia, Costa Rica and Honduras. Besides our standard range of wonderful coffees we have seasonal single estates. These can be from any country and are selected for their quality. You can find our full selection on our product list.

Do you blend these coffees as well?We certainly do. At the moment we have two blends that are used for the filter coffee machine. There is a Breakfast Blend and a Blue Mountain blend. Both are delicious and really set the standard for great filter coffee. People often change their opinion about how they feel about filter coffee after trying one of our filter coffee blends. How do you pack it?All the coffee is packed in either 250 grams bags, 1 kg bags or individual sachets used to brew a litre of filter coffee. Why do you sell single origin coffees?Single origin coffees are just great for brewing coffees various ways. They also allow you to have a wide range of coffees on offer. Single origin coffees are great for exploring coffee and can make it very interesting for your customers to visit your coffee shop. Most of our single origins are recommend for any use except the espresso coffee machine. So you could use these coffees in a filter coffee machine, cafetiere, Aeropress and any other brewing method. |
How can I brew the coffee? This is very interesting as there are so many ways to brew a cup of coffee besides the espresso machine. The three methods that we would recommend to use are the cafetiere (french press), drip brew (filter coffee) and Aeropress. We recommend to use a brewing ratio of 60 grams per litre. Also make sure that you grind to the correct fineness and keep an eye on your brewing time. Of course we are more than happy to grind the coffee for you although keep in mind that coffee loses flavour once it is ground. |

Is the coffee fresh when it arrives?
