• In-house barista or latte art training courses

Can you offer me barista training or latte art training at my own premises?

We sure can and sometimes this works out very well for established coffee shops. You can have the barista training on your own equipment at your own premises at a time that suits you best.

Some people prefer in-house barista training, especially when it is difficult to get away from the business.

Please do be aware that the best training is done when it is quiet. This means that we can only really do the training when the shop is closed. It doesn't have to be for long, maybe just for a couple of hours or so as we are flexible with the start time of the course.

How much does it cost?

The cost depends a lot on the location. We operate from Yorkshire and within Yorkshire we can usually do a training course on-site for around £100. This price is per course, not per person. It doesn't matter how many people you want trained, you pay for a course, not per person.

Around London, Bristol, Norwich, Wales or very far up north you would be looking at £300.

Birmingham and midlands area would probably cost around £250.

The best thing really is just to get in touch and we will get you a price.

How many people can you train at a time?

We prefer to train owners, manager and supervisors. Smaller groups will give much better results so groups of around 2 to 5 people would be best.

What kind of courses do you offer for in-house training?

We can teach you a barista course or latte art course. More information about the courses can be found on the website. Please follow the link on the menu.

When can we do the training?

We understand that the time of training is very important. The in-house training can be done any day during the week including the weekend and early starts or courses in the evening are possible.

SAB JollyWe have a new machine on offer and is now on display at our training centre in Halifax. We are using this for the training courses and actually really like. Great price and very easy to use.

This espresso machine is the SAB Jolly and comes with a grind on demand Anfim coffee grinder.

Barista training"My partner and I had a wonderful Valentine's Barista training session at Absolute Coffee last Sunday in Halifax. Our trainer, Youri, was very friendly and taught us all about the coffee making process with infectious enthusiasm and good humour. After a very interesting talk-through on the lifecycle of coffee from the bean to the cup we got stuck in and started making our first espressos.

Due to Youri's very clear instruction and explanation on what makes a great espresso, we were pulling great shots in no time at all, with all our handiwork captured on Youri's camera!
Once Youri was happy that we had a good grasp of pulling consistent shots, we moved on to milk based drinks and were both delighted with the results we were getting. The day finished with us giving a good deal of time trying to perfect our Latté Art hearts...very appropriate for the day that was in it! We would thoroughly recommend the Barista training course to anyone who has an interest in learning how to make wonderful coffee.

Thank you again,
Cian & Niamh"
